Lights, Camera, Action !
ASHS students Kaitlyn and Holly are visiting Aotea/Great Barrier Island next week to contribute to the next phase of the Aotea Penguin Project.
After dedicated research and careful selection, the girls will join co-founder and trustee of Blue Nature Aotearoa, Hon. Nikki Kaye, along with Mulberry Grove Primary principal Ally Gibbs and students, to install camera trapping technology at our penguin nest box sites.
This marks an exciting step toward incorporating technology to gain better insights into how the Aotea little blue penguins are utilizing these nest boxes. It will also help identify any pest species that may pose a threat.

Launch Night

On July 3rd, Blue Nature Aotearoa hosted its official launch night to celebrate the students, principals, and partners who have been involved thus far.
